Linen Stitch

Sue Renee Lapghan using the Linen Stitch

I finished my lapghan crochet pattern using the Linen Stitch & am excited to get it posted!  There are just a few edits to make yet & I will have it ready for everyone.  The Linen Stitch is an easy crochet stitch that works into a beautiful crochet project.  It only uses single crochets & chain stitches.  That’s it!  So…without further ado…here is how you do the Linen Stitch (as shown in the above picture of the lapghan I made).

  1.  Chain an even number of stitches.
  2.  Single crochet in 2nd chain from hook.  CH 1.  [Skip next chain.  Single crochet in next chain.  CH 1].  Repeat from [  ] across.  Single crochet in last chain.  Turn.
  3. Chain 1.  Single crochet in chain space from previous row.  Chain 1.  [Skip next stitch.  Single crochet in next chain space from previous row.  Chain 1].  Repeat from [ ] across.  Turn.

That’s all there is to it!  Easy does it!
